How I think

Three things twenty years of operating taught me.

Boring systems beat shiny objects.

Every business I run is built on workflows that would put a growth hacker to sleep. Build the system once, let it run every day, and the results compound while everyone else is chasing the next tactic.

Change is the only constant.

I've operated through the 2000 dot com bust, the 2008 recession and COVID. The businesses that survived weren't the smartest. They were the ones that accepted reality early and moved.

Proof beats claims.

Nobody believes what a company says about itself. They believe what other customers say. Most of my work in communications comes down to making it easy for happy customers to say it out loud.
